Mabuhay!! Thank you Dave for the information. I guess my small base on the west side of Pinatubo got the worst of the its eruption back in the early 90's. I did see though that it still exists (in satellite photos) and is currently being used by the Philippine govt as a maritime academy. Our installation was 26 miles north of Subic Bay and just isolated enough to keep us away from the major military influence. Thanks for the ping and again thanks for the information.
